My dad has a 1974, 24', sportsman trailer. He lived in it for two months with no problems. TV, computer, swamp cooler, refrigerator, all working fine. He just moved it to a new park today, plugged in, and the cooler stopped working after 5 minutes, the fan quit soon after, the computer wont fire up, used the vacuum for about 5 seconds, and it broke too, the wii wont turn on. The TV works, the fridge works, the lights work, the outlets work, but it seems to be very strange. Anyone have this problem before? Any thoughts???? Thanks!!!!!!

Get a circuit tester (Home Depot etc) to test the Parks electrical system. It will tell you if the supply panel is hooked up correctly.

Definitely needs a circuit tester to verify that the post is wired correctly and a multimeter to measure voltage. Turns out it was definitely "creative" wiring by someone. It was only the power supply on the computer and Wii. The vacuum, fan, and cooler are toast though.

I think the Campground would be responsible for the damages if they have a 30A 120V outlet connected to 220V. Sounds like the repairs are going to be expensive.

I would suggest the service wiring is cocked up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best get it checked by an electrician. He Himself is likely the only one to know what else is SNAFYU'd

I don't think he used a pigtail. Just plugged right in. This morning he looked, and saw an old piece of masking tape labeled 220.
