The other issue here is this is a Cummins supplied part and if they use this pump on other engines (I'm sure they do) this is why there is a shortage of parts. Bottom line is like Troy said, parts are made as needed and shipped as needed so now they (the pump supplier) are going to have to work overtime to not only supply the parts needed for production but also for the recalls. Since this was a different supplier the other supplier (OMP) is going to have to be paid for this cost by Cummins and Cummins in turn will collect from the supplier that caused the recall (Concentric).
