Distance between jacks with swingout brackets?

I just bought an F350 Lariat 4x4 dually with Lt315 75R16 Yokohama Geolander tires. I ordered swingout brackets but I'm concerned the extra wide tires might not fit through them. I measured and there appears to be 101 inches to the edge of each tire. My current jacks measure 91 inches. Anyone know the distance between the jacks with swingout brackets? I read that there was only about 1 1/2 inches between the fenders and the jacks with swingouts. Thanks.
  • If you have Atwoods the Atwood swing outs don't add much , you have to add extension plates - home made
But you can buy Rieco Titan swing outs , get the ez- swings they add 9.25" , most campers have the existing mt brackets facing forward
    Rieco Titan swingouts
  • Thanks guys. I think I'll try and find a way to swap them out if it doesn't end up costing too much. If not I have a metal shop just down the road who could fabricate a bracket to bolt on.
  • Atwood says their swing out brackets add 4" to each side , still not enough . There have been posts in the past of making extensions for these .

Looking at your other post those 315's are going to kill your mpg , JMO.

You could probably trade them for something more suitable and put money in your pocket , and solve the width problem .
  • There's only 3/4" on each side between the fender wells and the sides of the camper. You'll hit the fender well in the bed before you hit the jack on the outside. It seems tight but it helps you get the camper on straight.

My biggest problem is the tires rub the jack feet as they squeeze through. If the jacks were tall enough to lift the camper without blocking it wouldn't be a problem, but I have to have them up on 4x6 blocks.
  • I'll have to try and fabricate something before I swap out tires. The tires are brand new and I just bought the truck so no $ in the budget for that. Jim - I have a 1990 Lance 980 and I believe they are Atwood jacks. Thanks.
  • What brand jacks to you have? What make/model is your camper?
The reason I ask is because not all campers are the same width, same could be possible for different brands of jacks and their brackets.
