Does anyone own a 16 Forest Riv. Flagstaff Super Lite 26FKWS

I'm going to look at one tomorrow to possibly purchase and in looking for reviews, I haven't found any. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts of pros and cons.

I presently live and work in Texas although I have a home in Ohio. We have been renting and with retirement coming up in 30 months or less decided to quite renting and will live in the rig for 2 years so know we need something with a decent quality.

Any input will be appreciated.

In the new ones yes. Don't know about the 2016 models though.

Look under the sink where the drain goes through the floor, and you can see the foam.
I assumed mine was plywood/osb, but it’s foam.

Excellent advice! I checked the bathroom sink and that floor was thin! It also had its soft spots. The salesman said he had wished he'd checked it as well as I did before he took it in on a trade. Still looking for the right trailer now.

  • In doing my research, I see the new Flagstaff's floors are made with 5/8" tongue and groove plywood. I can't find any info regarding earlier years.
  • Thanks Skibane, I plan to watch your video link later.
Thanks Wowens, that will definitely be something I'll be checking out.
  • I've got a different model 2016 Forest River, and I'll give you a heads up on the floor system. Most of these have a sandwich floor, made with 2 pieces of 1/4" luan, and foam between them. These floors get spongy with normal daily use. It is not suitable for daily living. My daughter lived in ours for 8 months of college, and the floor got very soft over that time.
