As it turns out the Carefree topper will not work on my DT3000. Camping World ordered it as a special order custom fit to find that the fridge vent & window are in the way. So, CW had to eat expense and reorder a custom fit Dometic. It should be installed next week. I agree, a topper is a must for lots of reasons. Debris, heavy rain, pounding hot sun, etc. I'm hoping this new install works out. My 18' slide has a large flange that I may have to trim on the corners to prevent snagging on the topper material.
