Dual Battery Box Group 27

Hello.

I am looking for a box that will fit 2 x Group 27 batteries that is not insanely big nor insanely expensive. I am in Canada and have called a few RV dealers and they don't have any. I have seen some on Marine parts websites, but they are too big and bulky... and expensive.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I do have limited tongue space with my dual propane tanks and am going to have to get creative to make things work.
  • 2 single boxes will probably work better than 1 box if you are going to have a tight fit. Our 2 golf cart batteries wouldn't fit side by side, had to offset one of them some, which would not have been possible if they were both in one box.

    These boxes are good:

  • Ok, I think that is what I will have to do as well. I wish I had more room on the tongue of the trailer but real estate is tight with the dual propane tanks. maybe I should just bring one tank out with me.

Any Cdn RV dealer can sell you a NOCO Battery Box that will hold two 6 volt batteries. If you don't have the real estate on the trailer tongue for this size of box you can always set two 12 volt or two 6 volt battery boxes together end to end and trim the end of each box lid where the two boxes meet, thereby creating one larger lid for the two boxes.
  • We use two single boxes....the man we bought our hybrid from actually moved them inside and are in one of the bench seats where the water heater is....
  • I am not sure i like the idea of having a battery inside the camper. The idea of having something that produces Hydrogen gas inside the camper in an enclosed space next to a water heater running on either electric or propane and a water pump (if its in there like mine is) seems a little hazardous to me. Just my $.02
