EAZ-LIFT Hitch/Sway bar

I am looking for information on the EAZ-LIFT brand Sway bar and Hitch. Has anyone ever used this brand of equipment?

I have pulled a trailer with it for many thousands of miles. I've never had an issue.

Have one I've used on three rigs because you only need to upgrade the bars, not the complete hitch when you upgrade to a heavier trailer.

Been working fine with basic friction sway control for years. Reliable and inexpensive.

I purchased one last year and used it for a year with two friction sway bars. I got tired of the extra sway controls that had to be put on and bought the blue ox swaypro this year. The EazLift worked ok, but, the swaypro is easier to put on and rides smoother. For the price, the EazLift works fine.

I have one, use it for my Autumn Ridge 235fb (WD Hitch as well) never tow on the interstate without it.

Thank you for all the info you have given us. We have a 2014 Starcraft 24RLS ultra light and are pulling it with a Ram 1500 quad cab with a Hemi. I think from what you have said the EAZ-Liift will work fine.

Just like any other hitch they perform fine if set up properly. There are fancier ones out there that may work better, but I have used the Eaz-Lift only. TV 3/4 ton Ram with @10,000# TT 36' long. 1400# bars for 1200# TW. One thing I like about it is you don't have to have sway control. That can come in handy on certain road conditions. I also like how easy they are to deal with and very few parts involved. I find them a very forgiving hitch.

PS. Like the price too!

I used one for over 40 years. Worked very well. I have a equalizer with built in sway now that came with the TT that I bought otherwise I would still be using the EAZ LIFT. I also have the Hensley WD hitch that I used once but did not like. It also came with another TT that I bought .

It's your basic WD hitch and copied by many other mfgs. I used the EZ lift with single friction sway bar on my old (smaller) trailer. Works fine when set up properly.

I had one on new trailer I purchased. It was not robust enough for my needs so went with an equalizer. Nothing wrong with it but just wasn't right for me.

I just bought an 800lbs w/d with sway not long ago and love it. I also over compensated for the tongue weight due to all the **** i load in my truck when we travel lol

Yes... A lot of them out there. Sort of the basic cheap set up. What many dealers put on to get you off the lot for sale to be complete.

Picked up last trailer (used) and dealer tossed it in being old owner had it laying inside, along with bunch of other stuff. I thought it wasn't going to be very good but good enough till I got something better. That was 10,000 miles ago. Sort of surprised how good it has performed. In my personal opinion, it depends on what your towing and with what. Namely weight issues. My tongue weight is 12 1/2 percent, 8,000 pound trailer towed with a 3/4 pick up with 1,000 bars. I don't care for friction sway control, so I have never used it. I have my eyes on a pro pride but other things come first. Highly recommend greasing ends of bars. Cuts down on wear in hitch head, in-laws set up are egged shaped. I wasn't a believer in greasing until looking at in-laws. Which theirs has maybe 25,000 miles on it.

I should also mention I have a lot of "reserve capacity" on all of my weights. Nothing is close to max weight.

So overall Eaz-Lift is a great but cheap set up. There is a lot better and some hitches are actually worth the money. If the dealer is going to throw it in to make the sale, you can't beat it for the price. But if you're buying it consider stepping up a few grades.

You might get responses if you post weight of TT and what you're planning on towing it with.

They are great when properly set up and used appropriately.

*Make sure the spring bars are rated for equal to or slightly above the tongue weight.
*Depending on your trailer length you may need two sway bars..

I prefer this style hitch as I believe that the tapered bars ride better than the square tube type.

Simple, easy to use, and you can get parts that will work for them at any dealer USA or Canada.

It's the very basic hitch set up. There are a bazillion of them in use out there.
Dealers install them because they are easy to install and are relatively inexpensive.

Do they work?..sure.
Are the better hitches available out there?...yes. - especially hitches with integrated sway control.
