I have a Lance 1010 with at wood electric jacks. When I push the button to turn the jacks on to raise or lower the camper the red light comes on as usual. When I push the button on the remote the light kicks off and nothing happens. Doesn't seem to matter if the camper is on battery power or plugged in. Any ideas on what might be going on and how to correct the problem?

Only advice I can give is to make sure that the batteries are carrying a full charge. Being plugged into shore power does nothing to help the jacks and the jacks require a full or near full charge on the batteries.

Start with your fuses and make sure the jacks are getting power. If your batteries were low when you tried to activate all the jacks at once it may have been too much draw.

thanks guys....Ill check the connections. I did have the batter out this past summer, but I don't recall when this problem started exactly. Also battery is getting old (almost 5 yrs) so it might be shot even though it shows fully charged when I check it.

Try operating the jacks with shore power or generator connected. That will tell you if it is a battery or terminal connection issue.

Most likely you had corrosion between the surfaces. Reconnecting the leads wiped the corrosion off.

ok I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and it worked. We shall see if it works later on when I try it again. Nothing seemed to be loose. Does the order of the wires on the terminals matter? I have 3 wires on each terminal.

Try putting a new battery in the remote. Probably will not help but who knows, it something easy to do.

no plug in cord, just a wireless remote.

The problem was there in the fall when it was warm but wasn't all the time. I never got around to dealing with it then, now I need to get it fixed.

I have Reico Titan jacks, so we might not be on the same page. You mentioned using the remote, does Atwood also supply a plug in cord? I went to raise my camper in the bitter cold, and the jacks wouldn't work off the remote. I plugged the cord in and they worked fine. I'm guessing there's a battery in my remote that failed.

I get the same result no matter if its plugged in or only on battery. No generator in my camper.
