This maybe not news to a lot of people ,but the new English Caravan maker Eterniti has found its US made Slideout has water leaks.
Eterniti said it had brought in experts from the USA to solve a leaking issue in the company’s latest ‘eazzzzyslide’ slide-out. The solution was to replace the “smooth shiny GRP” used for the slide-out roof with the same TOP material found on the caravan roof, which provided a better surface to encourage water run-off.

Not to go too off topic but man looking at those pictures I thought a lot of our tt's were low to the ground. Wow

They are pulled mainly by diesel cars in Europe. Some Vans and SUV's but mainly cars.
Their payloads look awfully light when you look at the the specifications, but they include many items that a US TT would not.
The most surprising thing is they CAN go off Road even with that low ride height.

The current European economic meltdown means production still is in the US. What is news for me the Company expects to build a European type Caravan for the US and Canada?

The Eterniti range has been built in the Goshen, Indiana in the USA, using the German-made BPW chassis, but the resulting tourer will still be road legal for towing in the UK.
Furthermore, Eterniti plan to move all production to the UK as soon as possible, in order to keep their costs down

Eterniti Caravans, with operations in Goshen, Ind., is set to launch a new line of towable RVs at the Oct. 16-21 NEC Motorhome and Caravan Show in Birmingham, England, according to a press release
He noted, “We began the prototyping process here at the Goshen location last year and quickly realized that to maintain the look, touch and feel of the European styling we needed to manufacture the final product in Europe. We still plan to produce for the United States and Canadian markets out of our Goshen facility, but haven’t set any dates for a product launch. Many have tried to produce and ship overseas to different markets and I’m sure have had some success, however our plan is to build specific to each market and become a well-known global brand.”

Last year, Phil Daniels, Managing Director of Pontefract, Yorkshire-based Eterniti Steels, partnered with US-based Eterniti RV to launch a new line of caravans in the United Kingdom. Known as “Eterniti Caravans” these Anglo-American travel trailers will be offered with an integrated slide out – a relatively new innovation for British built caravans – and four different floor plans plans (MSRP ranges from £21,995-£24,995). The Inos caravan – launched by Britain’s Denbighshire-based Fifth Wheel Company Ltd – also incorporates a two foot deep (3 square metre) slide out which is priced from £36,000.

What kind of 'slide lock' is being used when it's leaking? Without using locks MAY electric slides will leak under some conditions.

Where does it say US made? Read the news release which states:
It is also worth noting that some of the claims on the sites are not true or factual and that the users stating these claims are not even Eterniti customers.

We have had two faults within the first built caravans which I am very pleased to confirm have now since been fully rectified which I feel is an achievement
to have done this so quickly.

We were having water ingress issues with the slide and this was addressed by bringing our experts over from the states. The issue was the slide roof itself – being made from smooth shiny GRP it was not allowing enough friction for the seals to ‘sweep’ and clear water away. This was immediately changed to the same TPO material that is on the caravan roof and this instantly cured the problem.

We also had a couple of caravans that had ingress through one front window because the rubber seal was not tight to the Perspex due to the front panel not being 100% correct in its fit, this as many of you will know already being the cause for delays in production. This too has now been rectified.

Looks like the issue with the slide was the materials used, not the design. I don't see where it says who designed the slide. It does state that experts from the US were brought in to fix it.

Second paragraph states issues with water ingress through the front window - a manufacturing/assembly issue.
