Hi all,
Just wondering. If you had to replace your Excursion, what would you get?
If and when it would be a Ram Mega Cab. and more than likely a Cummins, but a very good deal on a Hemi powered one would be good also! - TrackrigExplorer IIAre you talking about a Fleetwood Excursion diesel pusher or a Ford Excursion?
If I had to replace my Excursion DP, I'd go find another one.

- KalabinExplorerFor myself since my Excursion only gets used when I tow.. It would be a 2016 Ram 3500 Mega Cab, 6.4 Hemi w/ 4.10 gears. Buuut since that cost's so much more than my paid for X.. it stays.
- tinner12002ExplorerWell if you wait a bit, I read an article that stated Ford is bringing back the Excursion but in an alum body.
- petrelExplorerI'd only replace it if it was a total loss in an insurance claim. Otherwise, it is always worth fixing.
In the unfortunate instance of a total loss, I'd either get an F350/Excursion conversion, or the Chevy 3500 passenger van with a Quigley 4wd conversion, all diesels. There really are no good stock alternatives, if you really need the space for family and pets, and the towing capacity. - Grit_dogNavigator

Ford will corner the market!
Not THAT hard to do the tooling to put a carryall body on a HD chassis. With the huge upswing in HD sales in recent years, it's foolish that one of the big 3 hasn't already done this. A real OE Duraburb, excursion, or MegaRamcharger would sell in a big way.
The old Excursion option is about gone. Not many left in good shape comparatively speaking. Neighbor just gave well over $20k for a gasser Excursion with just under 100kmi on it. For a 12 year old gasser! Now it's a nice rig but, that shows the market. He's not even a truck guy but would have gone and dropped $50+ for a new one if he could have. - DadoffourgirlsExplorerGM does make a one-ton Suburban with the 6.0 gas engine.
The payload exceeds the maximum trailer weight. - bikendanExplorer

The OP did post this in the Tow Vehicle forum, not the Motorhome forum.:R - nremtp143ExplorerI would try to find another Excursion like I had. Period. Nothing like the most capable SUV on the planet!
