FIRE FIRE, how many would let BURN?

You are likely going to have to collect the insurance money no matter what. RV fires are fast, hot and toxic. They will usually be a total lose before the fire department even arrives.

Very little likelihood that a propane tank will explode. They have safety valves that vent. Yes, it will be a flame thrower, but unless defective it shouldn't explode.Just for thought you may want to reconsider making any premeditated statements , they may void your insurance.

My experience with the mobile home trailers we lived in, is if they catch fire you are lucky to get out.

Saving a TT is a moot point unless it parked in a fire station. :)

I would try and extinguish it, even if it were yours as I am a firefighter. I put out one years ago. The Maroon was testing for a propane leak with a lighter and found it in the hose.

Excellent statement. I worked a TT fire in a State campground. Lady didn't know it was burning until a neighboring camper got her out. TT burned to ashes. She didn't unhook it from her Ford diesel truck. The fire extended from the TT to the truck's bed and then continued to the external diesel fuel tank for her truck mounted in the bed. It was finally stopped by the FD at the truck's firewall. Always unhook the truck, even if its only pulling the lock pin in the hitch.

Only happens in movies. In real life, the heat drives up the tank pressure and the safety valve opens and the tank vents. It's quite a display if the gas catches fire. I watched a 500 gallon tank do this at a house fire, and the flames shot 30 feet in the air, but it didn't explode.

I saw a video awhile back about some people that put out a neighbors RV fire. Took them 3 fire extinguishers but, they got it out.

I would try to put it out but, not to the point of risking my, or anyone's life.

Insurance companies will try to get out of paying for it anyway they can. You would be lucky to get very much for it. Your never going to get what it's worth.

This, things can be replaced people and pets are what's important.

I don't think the average person can comprehend how fast these things burn.

Get everybody out, including pets. Wake up the neighbors so they can get away. Call 911. In the few minutes that takes, the trailer is probably gone.

Stuff can be replaced. Lives can't.
