First camp out of the new year

We finally made time to get away this past weekend. We even took a chance with the weather not being as bad as predicted, and we are so glad we did.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer past Dec. 27th and have been undergoing radiation treatments for the last four weeks with six weeks to go. We caught it early, and so far every thing is going well and results look good.
Anyway, we had highs in the 80's most of the weekend with brief showers. We were on one of our favorite camp site since we can't go far from my treatment center. I really hated for the weekend to end

    Fantastic! Glad you got to make an early camping trip and the good prognosis. Tomorrow isn't promised.

    My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in October. We were also fortunate that it was caught early and although she had to have a partial mastectomy no chemo or radiation treatments were required. She is now planning the Hawaii vacation we have only talked about but put off in the past.

    First, I hope your remaining radiation treatments go smoothly and will be over before you know it. Best wishes for a rapid recovery from treatment and great health!

    Second, may I ask what campground you were at? Looks wonderful and thank you for the pictures.

    You have given us the itch........ ??

    We were at Gunter Hill C.O.E. Camp Ground, just 15 minuets outside the Montgomery city limits and 25 minuets from our house. It's an easy drive to both work and the cancer center if needed. We go there often for weekend getaways.

    Hope your treatments go well.

    I'm jealous that you could go out camping. We still have feets of snow and below zero weather here in SW MN. I'm going stir crazy setting in the house with nothing to do.

    We are praying for you to have good health. Here in Wisconsin, we have had either snow or freezing rain for 34 of the last 39 days. We have had wind chill down to -60 degrees and the snow and ice is over 2 ft deep in my backyard. If I could get my TT out from under its carport, I would head south for the rest of the winter.

    We spent a week at Gunter Hill in December, great campground and they even give half off with the geezer pass.
