Fla. diesel $

Just returned from a week in the Keys. In all of southern Fla diesel was less expensive than lowest grade of gasoline. In many cases $0.10/gal less.

Is this typical in that area?

Diesel fuel has been more expensive than gas in the North East since the day after I bought a deisel 10 yrs ago.

What's up in Fla? Is it time to move?

Tx, Bill
  • Northern CA diesel is $2.29 and regular unleaded is $2.69 today.
  • Its even with 87 here in most of Oregon, sometimes a little cheaper, sometimes more.
  • We are seeing that too. Gas just jumped 10 cents a liter to $1.05.9 yet diesel remains at $0.89.9.
  • Diesel in Northern CA is 20-30 cents cheaper than regular unleaded.
  • Diesel here in West Michigan has been lower to much lower the gas like even over $40. gal lower for a long time. Paid under $1.80/gal for premium diesel yesterday for our Chevy D/A truck. Yes, the east coast and west coast states have very high diesel and gas prices almost always compared to the rest of the country. Bear in mind that Florida also allows it's counties to add a county tax to the fuel too and it's still cheaper than in the North East. OP, do you feel fleeced at home? Bet you'd feel robbed in California!
