My 2016 F250 with the 6.2 keeps impressing me.
Lots of power, comfort, quiet. 6th gear is overdrive, so if you're climbing any hills you have to lock it out in tow/haul mode.
Carrying 3000 lbs of camper is no problem. Towing an 8000 lbs skid steer and trailer is no problem.
It likes to be about 3200-3500 rpms for the power sweet spot if you're climbing hills, but it's nice and quiet.
I get 9 mpgs (loaded), give or take a few tenths depending on where the wind is coming from. Empty tooling around town and some highway cruising it gets 12.2 mpg. 14.5-ish consistently empty on the highway.
And, it's CHEAP compared to a diesel.
