Here's the problem. If components are absolutely dependent on transmission oil pump running, and there are no provisions from oil to splash or bathed in oil, then you could starve bearings of oil and destroy them. Suddenly you have loose shafts and miscellaneous s**** metal floating around causing even more damage.

I just went through that searching for a Toad. Owners manual for the toad rules, read it yourself before believing that 2015 toad site. I actually used that site for towing 4 down and it seemed to be spot on but I wanted to be certain with the GM manual and the salesman. Lots of steps to make it tow 4 down but it worked for us on the maiden voyage of about 200 miles. Another 200 miles driven after the tow.
