Try a little starting fluid by removing the hose after the MAF sensor, and squirting there. If it fires for a few seconds, you are not getting fuel. That could require some more in depth diagnostics. Also, try having somebody smack the bottom the fuel tank while you crank. Sometimes the fuel pump can get stuck (which means its going out, but you can usually get a few more starts this way).
That said... if you are only idling the engine, you are not actually heat cycling it. All you are doing is adding moisture to the oil. If you can't take it out do give it a god drive, you are probably best off adding some Stabil to the tank, disconnecting the battery, and just let it sit.
