Those numbers seem way off for a naturally aspirated big block though. Not a lot of hp for the torque.
Either way, it'll make red be able to smoke the duallies.
But, reconsider the cost. You're looking at $10k into the engine minimum and more to integrate it and get things like AC and cruise working.
Now add several thousand for a built trans and more for misc items. Upgraded cooling etc.
combine $15 k into a 30 year old pickup that isn't worth much or worth much more with the mods and 6mpg and I'll presume you are just dreaming or talking tongue in cheek.
You'd be better off dropping $25k on an old low mile diesel and wouldn't be out much more if any.
not interested in a "newer" truck and wont own another diesel, it's a bolt in engine designed specifically for these old tow beasts.....and that's all Red is for now. Built by a specific Ford engine builder off a 460.
