  • Mbrgr1, thanks for the response. You are right about that! I feel I have a pretty good eye for that stuff as we all know that is exactly what you do not want! Also, before buying my last TC, I saw some that had that profoundly disturbing smell and that was the end of the interview!!! I'll be taking a look on coming Monday the 27th. and will post after I get back ::: Thanks again to everyone responding to my plight. Can not wait to get back to full timing!
I am determined to get to that famous RV show in Quartzsite January 2016!
  • Looks good, make sure and crawl up under those front windows and dig around under the bed, it almost looks like moisture damage under the right one on the inside in the pics, hard to tell. If it's solid, that would be a good buy! Good luck.
  • TrailG, agreed about the leaks and that is exactly what I'll be checking for first when I take a look at this one.. NADA has it right about where this seller does but I do not know what equipment it has until I see it..
So are you saying that you think this rig could weigh the same or even less than the metal framed rigs? I know that it may be on the threshold of the change over becauese 1989 to about mid 90's seems when they modernized that feature although I'm just guessing on this...
  • Looks pretty clean. Our 90 Shadow Cruiser had some dings and screw holes needing filled when we bought it but the big thing to me was no rot and no leaks and super clean intact roof. Shocking but it actually weighs less than some newer wood or aluminum frame units the same size, 9.5'. Not sure what they put in them after these older years to make them weigh so much even without slide outs. It weighed in at 1680# dry and we added about 250# with roof air, microwave, Fantastic fan and futon mattress. Left plenty of room in weight department for our fat butts, dogs, food, clothes, awnings, etc. Max ever weight 3300#.
  • Thanks for the responses. I thought it looked like it had some value as well so I guess I'll go take a look at it this weekend and let you know what I find. I had a '94 Lance Squire last and it was predictably nicer & newer inside but beat to hell outside and the jacks were absolutely horrible... Scary! The jacks on this old rig look real straight to me and I may be able to get it for well under a grand. My truck is a clean 2005 F2 with strong 6.0 Diesel and has great Firestone Airbag rear suspension. I fabricated rear tie-down hard points utilizing the factory receiver and have the good Happijack fronts which I tied to the frame..
  • It would be wood frame construction but a properly equipped F-250/2500 would handle it just fine. Looks to be in good shape from the pictures.
