Globe Type Awning Lights

I have not found any lower wattage lights that do a decent job. So I stick with the 60W bulbs but I installed a dimmer with a dedicated outlet for the lights. It is great because mose of the time we just want some soft light so you dont trip over every darn thing around the patio. But when I am eating under the awning or grilling a little extra light power is great to have. Once that is all done, dim it back down and when heading indoors for the night I leave them so low its just enough to see if I have to take the dogs out later in the evening but nowhere near as bright as just my porche light.

We like to set out at night. I mostly don't use lights.
Here in the South, lights can attract thousands of bugs.

We get enough light from inside our trailer to sit outside and drink coffee.
NOTE: I do like to camp by someone who lights up like Christmas.
They get the bugs, we get ambient light. :W

Got the dimmer cord from Amazon and used it this past weekend. It worked great!! Had the lights dimmed to a low level and checked the site next to us and no intrusion of light at all! Yep, another satisfied forum member.:)

We use 40w on a timer for dusk so when we come back to the site we can see to get in. Now i see how annoying we could be. I will be buying the dimmer and re-think our usage!

If you didn't have electricity, how did the TV work? By candlelight?

The TV works on gasoline or diesel, not by electricity. I've never seen a Chevy Volt or Prius pulling a fifth wheel. ;)

The cord I linked to is good for 300 watts, which is perfect for my set which has six 40 watt bulbs.
