Some of you have likely seen my posts about my aging rotting old Sportsmen. How the back end floor is all rotted out, a steel bar holding the black tank in from falling out on the highway, the gross smell and so on.
I posted about it last week after getting it out of storage and finding it all moldy inside - yuk!
If this thing was a horse I'd have to shoot it!
Have any of you ever found yourself in the right place at the right time? Well, yesterday it was my turn. I have been actively looking for something to something I could replace old stinky with, but after 2 bad car wrecks last year, I haven't been working to capacity and don't have a lot of funds.
Long story short, got a call - a friend has a TT he bought and did a lot of work to, ensuring things were in good shape.
He used it in his company as a temporary residence for his workers on some distant construction projects. I got wind of his intention to sell it.
I went over and had a look at it, and although there is a soft spot in the walls at the corners, the rest of this thing is in really great shape. I couldn't really afford it but he recently spent over 3 grand on it making sure all was well. And he paid 570 bucks to get the axles flipped. Bonus!
Anyhow, I am now the new owner of a 97 Triple E Topaz. I bought it today and brought her home this afternoon.
3 feet longer than my disgusting old Sportsmen, this thing measures 28 feet from the spare tire to the tip of the hitch. Model 270 so I guess they call it a 27 foot trailer. Perfect, just what I wanted!
Front bedroom and mid kitchen, 2 things I really want in a TT. Separate bathroom where you can actually sit down for business without having your knees up around your ears!
So, my rotten old hulk has finally reached the end of its life!~! Good riddance you moldy old junkheap!

Bob's a happy camper again!
It certainly isn't new but it is in really good shape. Gotta fix the converter though, no charge to the battery. No big deal, I can handle that.

Just in time too, I am leaving later today (Sunday) on a 5 day fishing trip! Nice to have a decent unit to take!!
