Well, I'm sure that you've had a few good times in Ol' Stinky.
It sounds more like it was an Ex-Wife.....sure, lately, she is nothing but a pain in the butt, but back in the day, you were in love!:B
And even a POS camper, is better than no camper!:)
The new rig looks great...have a great weekend!
I have had more than a few good times! Good analogy - haha!
Ol' Stinky owes me NOTHING! I paid 4500 for it in fall 2005 and have slept in it many many hundreds of times. I stopped counting a few years ago but it has saved my more than quadruple the purchase price in money saved on motels when I work out of town.
If I had to guess I would say I have spent about 1000 nights in it, maybe more.
It has been with me on many years of annual fishing trips.
I have dragged it way up in hills and mountains where I had no business taking a TT. Tore the skid bars off years ago!
It has been good, loyal and faithful with very little needed in repairs. But it is time to put her to sleep now.
I plan on selling it whole on Craigslist with pictures and FULL disclosure about the rot issues. There are a lot of good pieces in there, as Fred mentioned, like the appliances, almost new tires and more. I put a new DSI hot water tank in it last year after I neglected to winterize and it froze. It has a Fantastic Fan in the bathroom.
If I part it out, I'll grab the FF for mine and swap the hot water tank. They are the same. Or put the parts in my rebuild project. Don't know yet - I'll play it as I go.
And a bunch of other great memories go with it too.
