Grey Water Tank is draining really slow now....

Easiest solution will be to run some hot water down through the drain and let it warm up the grease enough to drain it. A couple big pots on the stove on high along with letting the water heater get nice and hot. Then turn on the hot faucet until it runs out of hot water, dump the big pots of boiling water down the drain and give it about 10 minutes. Drain the gray tank and repeat as needed if you don't see what you think is normal draining.

Going forward, We wipe anything that has grease down with paper towels first, then wash just the residue off in sink. If it's a real greasy item (;ile a pork chop or rib pan, it's gets the hot water in a tub outside treatment.

Did this just start or has it been a problem all along? Our problem was that they left a cutout in the tank for the hole where the drain tube attaches. Dealer took the pipe off and removed the cutout that was the issue. It would drain ok at first then get down to a trickle as the cutout was sucked down over the hole. We are fortunate enough that our galley has its own tank so it never gets drained unless it is at least 1/2 full or better. With a family of 5 that is usually not hard to do.

X2 on the dishpan dumping into the toilet.

Another suggestion to help avoid future problems is to use a dishpan to wash in and then dump into toilet rather than down into gray tank.

2 advantages... gives me a little more gray space (usually my issue) and adds water to black tank..

it also puts any food bits or grease into black which has bigger dump lines and where I am more likely to use chemicals.

You can get emzine cleaners from places like Home Depot or Lowes. Pour some down your drain, and it eats the gunk in your drain lines. High rise apartments and office complexes use these to keep pipes clean.

Put some in your drain with very little water in your holding tank and let them eat the grease. Its a start.

FYI, we ALWAYS wipe all our pots, pans and dishes with paper towels to remove the grease (as much as possible) before washing in the camper. At home, we are on a septic tank, and do the same also. NEVER put the grease down the drains. Use paper towel and throw it away.

Ah...reminds me of the poor A/C outlet in my new TT. Darn cutout left in the duct work. Something to look into, OP.

I removed the blade valve (which was mounted close to the exit from the tank) and spotted a tank cutout wedged in the exit pipe. I was able to remove that with a pair of needle nose pliers and haven't had any problems since.

Try a bottle of dawn dishwashing detergent , and 1/2 tank of water , your next trip may break it up a bit .
