Holes in the roof

I have a brand new camper that has a couple of patches now. On a year old camper that is frustrating. All holes are very small. Do the eternabond strips r ally hold up?
  • Eternabond is great. I have a brand new camper and on its third trip out, I lost the battle with some low hanging branches. The branches put about 5 small holes in my rubber roof. The biggest hole was 3/4" wide.

I went on Amazon and bought the 50 foot roll of white Eternabond, a rubber roller, and a tube of Dicor sealant.

First I cleaned a 3 foot area around each hole using acetone, a rag, and some elbow grease. Then I put down the Eternabond. Just to be triple secure, I ran a bead of Dicor sealant around the outside edges of the Eternabond patches.

Just be careful, once Eternabond goes down, it won't come back up...ask me how I know lol. Also Eternabond will stick to almost anything, EXCEPT for caulking.

So far it has rained a few times and all looks well.
  • Don't feel bad I put a small hole in mine the other day, patched with Eternabond as well.

    X2 on the brick.
  • When you guys say installed correctly. I clean the area well, let it dry and then install the tape roll it on and put a brick on top of it for two days. Does that sound right to you?
  • I'm a firm believer in Eternabond tape. I have patches on my roof over 10 years old now, and still holding strong.
