I did that for years... this year I'm going back to the AF in the water lines. Split a couple lines last winter, thought I had all the water out LOL.

You are suppose to drain and flush your car antifreeze at 100000 miles. The anti corrosive properties break down after awhile

While this is merely my opinion and not supported by any evidence or scientific documentation at all, I cannot imagine that the properties of propylene glycol would change that much so that it would freeze at a much higher temperature. I could be totally wrong, though.

Sounds like we are talking two different things. Car anti-freeze is different stuff. The anti-freeze in the trailer is in open pipes and not a closed system. I would think shelf life would not be applicable once the product is off the shelf and in use.

We are talking about the non-toxic pink stuff, right?

I googled "shelf life of propylene glycol for RV" and found a Dow Chemical MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) that states a shelf life of 2 years. Apparently, storing it higher temperatures shortens the life.

Think about your car. How long does the antifreeze in it last?

Short answer, as long as it hasn't been diluted somehow, indefinitely.
