How many of you travel alone with a TT?

If I ca back a power pole down an alley with a line truck I think I can back my TT. If a woman wants to help, I am all good with that.

I have a 20 foot TT. I'm a bachelor and quite often go camping with just my dog. I'm experienced at backing and have no problems backing in. I used the GOAL method and sometimes it takes me a couple of tries but, I get in fairly easily.

For those who wonder, I am an over 50 year old female who drives a truck, tows a TT and camps without any help. Granted when my 24 year old son does join me, I take advantage of him being there and ask for help, but I can and do manage just fine on my own.

yes, I travel alone with my dog. My attitude is the driver of these rigs should be able to do all the driving, parking, hitching, etc by themself. Remember, when situating your trailer, when in doubt, GOAL, get out and look.

Does the dog and cat going with me count as solo??

We're still kinda new to TT'ing, having had it for less than 2 years. Last year I did my first solo weekend when I wanted to attend a all-weekend event that I used to get a hotel room for. No big deal doing it all alone and I will do it again. Never staying in a hotel again.
DW has also urged me to feel free to go camping alone if I ever want to get away for any reason, but it just hasn't happened yet.

Not all women are idiots, nor helpless. I taught my husband about camping and campers way back when because I've been towing something, starting with horse trailers since I was 16. That doesn't make me better than him or smarter. I do all of our towing b/c I'm comfortable doing it and he isn't. I've towed to several camp sites through the years when he couldn't get off work until late - so what?! When we get to a campground, he helps me back in, and if I don't like what he's telling me, I get out and look for myself - no big deal. He unhitches the camper and takes care of the outside stuff. I get the inside up and running. It's called teamwork.
