When did it become a race to set up?

You might want to revisit the order in which the steps are performed.Most of us set the wheel chocks before unhooking from the truck.Not everyone sets up on a level concrete slab.Also, connect potable water before handling sewer hoses, to avoid contamination.

Like the advice! Not sure how to reply to each person but 10 minutes is for when setting up in the dark, cold or when you're tired. And I like what you said about contamination practices- good to learn too!

Another tip: Turn OFF pedestal circuit breaker before connecting shore cord. If you get an arc of electricity between the pedestal and the prongs of the shore cord, the cord will develop pits that will eventually cause the cord to have more resistance than necessary.

This is more of a personal preference. 30 seconds in the sink can wash all of your troubles away. Even if you do wear gloves, you still should wash your hands afterwards just for hygienic reasons. Gloves aren't as absolute as people like to think.

EDIT: I started shopping for a travel trailer in March of 2010. I rushed right in and got 'er done by.... November 2011......:B

You are writing a fun and engaging blog.
