I added a porch light on the right side

AF campers don't have an outside light on the right side, so I added one in the fridge vent.

This is why I mounted it to the fridge vent:

Seems like cool idea, but do you leave your outside lights on much? Also, the picture/video doesn't show enough of the TC to make it clear what you are lighting up to me.

I rarely use outside lights.

I'm lighting up the area on the right side of the truck.

I think we all try to minimize penetrations through the body of the camper and this is a nice alternate. I installed lights for similar reasons under both windows of the sleeping area. I was able to tap into the reading lights and actually put a button rocker switch for either on, off or motion only within the base of the original Host fixture. I did have to drill 2 small holes in the camper body for each small gauge harness and then mount the 2 fixtures. I made sure to seal everything.
It's nice having the lights available and my wife has control of hers (drivers side) if needed. Nice mods deltabravo

Neat idea tapping off the fridge power.

But have to ask why you didn't just use a light with integrated switch and mount it to the camper itself between the vents? Then it would look like a factory installation and one wouldn't have to do with wires when you need to remove the vents for inspection and cleaning?
