I often say to keep the trailer GVWR within the tow rating for best results.
If 9,000 is the real tow rating I think you are good to go.
Some optional equipment may be required to have that tow rating and some optional equipment may take away from the rating. So be sure to know what you have. Read the fine print with a magnifier, not the marketing hype with rose glasses.
