I read a bunch of threads about filon and am familar with gel coat but I'm not sure why my front cap doesn't match the rest of the gel coat sides. I bought the trailer which has delam issues and the front piece must have been replaced. I don't mind it not matching the sides but it turns yellow and is very hard to clean compared to the sides and back. Three times with clorox cleanup and barely clean. It will never be white again either.
So would you agree that I have a piece of white filon turned yellow on the cap and I have polar white gel coat filon on all other sides? I'm considering removing the decal to make the cap easier to clean and it's going to be very white under there.
I also think I should just get the filon cap painted polar white if I remove the decal. Or should I just keep cleaning the******out of it until the decal is gone and the filon is as white as it can get to match the rest of the trailer? Mostly needs to clean well. I don't mind losing the decal. Thanks.
