I love the bedroom in the back and the storage and the front window. They added a blue stripe to it this year which we don't like so waiting to see if the stripe goes away or a different color in the upcoming year models. - rbpruExplorer IIWe backed into our number.
We had a certain dollar value not to exceed and a floor plan we wanted. New or used did not matter.
We did not waste our time or the Salesman’s time looking at TTs above our figure.
We found a nice 2 year old model that fit our needs. - TurnThePageExplorerI'm leaning toward Jayco. They have two models, Jayflight 27RLS and 28RLS that are very similar to the floor plan you mentioned. They come with 2 year warranty and can be optioned with MUCH larger tanks. They are both on my short list right now. If I had 3/4 ton truck I might lean toward those Arctic Fox/Outdoors RVs trailers.
- cyberiankhatruExplorerPrime Time Tracer 3200BHT Or similar floorplan.
I want a kids room, full outside kitchen, fireplace (I know - stupid but...), outside ladder, an easy to see TV, good counter space. AND a new BIG truck to tow it with or a permanent site on a lake in the mountains or at the beach!!!! - cekkkExplorerOur Eagle has been as close to perfect as I'd ever expect a trailer could be and we love the floor plan, which no longer is available. And it has a half dozen 2000+ mile trips on it, dozens of 250 miles trips, and gets the tar beat out of it every time we take it down our rocky road. Frankly, I'm very hesitant to buy a new one, as it seems quality has slipped. I'm hoping this one lasts as long as we're able to camp with it. That shank is getting heavier every year!
- campermamaExplorer IIWow so much great advice! I do need/want something well built as I do 99% boondocking. And most places are off road, so need something durable. It's the price I am a little worried about on the better models, arctic fox, outdoors rv, open range....but we'll see I guess, I haven't looked yet, I am researching while I am camped in mammoth lakes :-)
Keep the replies coming, I am taking notes! - profdant139Explorer III'm on my second Fun Finder. The first was used, the second was new. Both have been great -- not perfect, but perfectly adequate. But you usually get what you pay for. A more expensive trailer is probably going to be better. Fun Finders are a good value but they are not expensive. I would expect that an Arctic Fox or an Airstream would be higher in quality. I don't know anything about Lance trailers, but I can tell you that Lance makes very good truck campers, so it's a good bet that their trailers are good, too.
The egg campers are very solid. For me (6', 4"), they are kind of cramped, but you might want to take a look at them for yourself. - I agree with Majja13. I recently purchased a Creekside 20fq from Outdoors RV Manufacturing. These are really well built trailers that don't farm out their manufacturing to companies like Lippert ect. And yes, like every affordable trailer there are things you kind of roll your eyeballs about. One of the big differences I notices between the Rockwood brand and the Outdoors RV Mfg. group of trailers is the carrying capacity. A comparable Rockwood could carry about 5 to 6 hundred pounds less. This indicates to me that the structure of the Creekside is stouter. This meant a lot to me as I bought it to last my entire retirement years.

- galexanderExplorerJust bought a 2016 Forest River Surveyor 201RBS. Has everything the DW and I want and is a good looking TT. Nice layout, options and decent quality. Metal drawer guides, all aluminum front appliance's. Front fiberglass nose. Enclosed and heated underbelly. Ducted air and heat throughout TT. All in at 25 feet. Last TT I buy before retirement, three years and counting. Good Luck on your search.
