Insect screen for atwood furnace

I apologize right off the bat for the sideways picture. I tried every way I knew how to get it to save rotated correctly but could not.

With that said, I have an Atwood 8525-IV-DCLP furnace with the below vent. I cannot find a screen for this. The screens for 8500 series have the bump part in lower right hand corner. As you can see, it is right in the middle. The intakes around the edge are about 3 1/2 inches square and the vent sticks out about 1". Do any of you have the same thing and what did you use?

  • I have found that I am able to order hard to find items at Moix RV in Conway, Arkansas.
  • Same furnace exhaust on our Jayco WhiteHawk. Went nutz trying to find a screen. Finally learned the Camco Model #42144 will fit. Matter of fact, it's such a snug fit I didn't need to use the little springs to hold it in place. Camco 42144.

EDIT: Got mine online on Amazon.
  • Quick search - found this. Read reply #9 - looks a lot like your exhaust picture.

    Camco 42144.

edit: ah! Beaten to the punch.
  • I went to our local habitat store and bought an old used fireplace screen, for $2 and made up screens for the refrig, the water heater, and the furnace

  • Do you really need screens on gas appliances? Most of the manufacturers recommend NOT using them because they restrict/cut down on air flow thus reducing the already low efficiency of the burners.
