Nolan, search internet on 12v hair dryer. camping world has one, uses 14amp for $17.00 :). unless you need the AC for something else you can't beat that price.
I bought that one for my wife off Amazon a couple years ago. She's tried several 12V dryers. The one thing none of them do is produce enough heat. They all suck. AND that Roadpro pulls about 15A. Low wattage, but relatively high amp draw= still wet hair, diminished batteries and an unhappy wife (not necessarily in that order). Don't waste your money. Her hair is long and thick. Even with a regular, A/C powered dryer, depending on the humidity, it takes her at least 20 mins. to fully dry it.
Believe me, I've been holding off installing an inverter for the exact same reason. She groans about it every time we use the camper. For the time being, I have to fire up the generator. When that's not possible, she turns on the furnace, sits on the step, leans over and uses the ducts below the frig. Works pretty good and it's quick, but obviously, not ideal...for her. I have no problem with it.:B
I may install an inverter anyway just to have it.
