Check your wiring. I have a Prime Time, but mine was miswired in the same way emmysdad's was: tv was hooked to the Jensen input. It should be connected to one of the line-out leads on the Jensen.
I haven't found the volume on the Jensen needs to be set to "1" in order for sound to be directed to the tv. Just turn on the tv and sound is directed to it. Use the volume/mute control for the tv and the Jensen to determine which speakers get sound.
