Hi all,We just bought a new KZ-Spree Excape 170 and I was wondering what other people who own similar units think of them? The build quality seems good and we like the fact that we can tow it with our mini van.We are not new to RVs by any means, and actually this is downsizing from a DP. We're heading out tomorrow for the holiday weekend with it.Just wondering if there is anything I should know or be on the lookout for.Thank you Vic

We have a Spree...not sure what model but it's 22 something. Make sure you do a really good check around the exterior of your unit! We did not do this the first year, put it in storage for the winter and the mice had a field day in there. I was SOOO upset! They destroyed on of the mattresses, there was urine in all the heating ducts, feces everywhere. KZ did not "seal" up the access holes after they ran the wiring. May as well have hung a sign out that said VACANCY, MICE WELCOME! KZ adamantly refused to do ANYTHING for us with regards to the damage. I love my trailer but I'm not sure I'd buy another Spree. The foam is substandard also IMO and we will be looking to replace it this year.Otherwise the style is great, tow-ability is awesome as they are light weight and ours is quite roomy.

I have a 2010 KX Spree. Check your drawer slides. Update,
Well the first trip in the new TT went very well. Even though it rained most of the weekend, we were able to make the best of it. No real issues with the Spree other than I had to tighten a water line out of the hot water heater. Were really very happy with our new Spree, and I think it's going to make us a great little TT. It is rather small, but still is plenty roomy for 2-3 people. The bump out makes all the difference.

That is reassuring. :)
I went through and put a trans cooler in, and flushed and the fluids and things like that. I was most worried about the short wheel base of the jeep and the camper pushing it around a bit.

The Jeep should pull that no problem at all. My Chev has a V-6 250hp and tows mine just fine. Although I haven't pulled it loaded yet lol.

I ordered the 170s.
It will be our first camper, so all the normal nervousness. Haha
I will be pulling it with Jeep Cherokee for now, but eventually want to upgrade to a truck.

What model did you wind up getting? Did you order the 170 or something different? I've owned many RVs over the years, everything from Pop ups to a new 40ft DP. We are downsizing from the DP to this KZ. We just wanted to get back to basic camping with low upkeep, and have something we could tow with our Chev mini van.

I did alot of research on the KZ line before buying this, and most everything I read as well as people I talked to had good things to say about them. I'm hoping we'll be one of those people lol.
