lowering suspension
My Dodge Ram 2500 2x2 sits high. I believe it can be lowered but wondered what the consequences might be; less VWR, harder ride or something else? Curious.

- If you are towing/ carrying weight with your truck then lowering (or raising) needs to be done right. Whether you use shackles, flip kits, spindles etc you need to make sure the parts can handle the specs. If on the other hand you just want to make it easier to get in the truck I would recommend adding steps.
- Yup, Jaxom, it's the Phantom again. I ride those other two wheels you don't see. Getting back to the topic, (since it takes so little to confuse you) the truck is a 2014.

1. What did that do to your drive line angle?
2. Were you able to still get full deflection of the suspension to the stops without wheel rub?
3. How did you compensate for the height up front without negatively changing your steering geometry?- I'm guessing he has a 4x2 as I've never seen a 2 wheeled pick up truck. Perhaps that explains the Phantom name?
- You didn't state what year but my 2001 is stock and I barley fit under it to the drain oil. I'm chest size 44, so not small but not big.
Last week I got my weights and ratings Dodge says it has is on door sticker.
(Hope your 2X2 has better rear end than mine. It is useless for traction).

- In one case I saw where someone did that and then when it came time for brakes, they found one of the caliper bolts was blocked. They were still able to do the work but it was a bunch more labor.
