- GrandpaKipExplorer IIAlso would depend on what is under the bottom bunk, if anything. My kids' new camper has the water heater and electric box under there.
- westendExplorerIt's probably about a two-three hour job with screw gun, hammer, and prybar. You may end up with an unfinished flooring space, depending on how and what you have for flooring. A rug would take care of that, in the simplest manner.
- scbwrExplorer IIBoils down to seeing how existing bunks are attached and what wall panels or flooring may need replacing when they come off!
- ScottGNomadYes, in fact I've been think of getting that floor plan and removing the lower bunk so that my disabled son will have a sort of play area.

Sure. Many people have converted their bunk rooms into office space after the kids are gone.
Sorry that I was not more clear in my op. We currently have a full over a full bunk. We were wondering if it would be possible to remove both of the bunks and make a different use of the space. - CrawfordvilleExplorerSorry that I was not more clear in my op. - GrandpaKipExplorer IIDon't know why not, as long as the fabricator has the skill to make it sturdy and safe.
- ChooChooMan74ExplorerLike, you have a full on the bottom and a skinny one on top, converting the skinny one to a full???
