More power for Godzilla

Looking for insane power from your 7.3L Ford? ProCharger announced development of supercharger for F250.

    I am surprised that it is only a single turbo ! That big thing will take awhile to get spinning.

    Of course 2 turbo is a lot more expensive and a lot more plumbing.
  • One of the great engines ever made. I would not mess with it. Simple bolt on parts and a conservative tuner easily make 340 hp.
  • Heat will certainly be an issue but the internals of the 7.3 are stout enough for it. If boost pressures are kept within reason so temps dont get out of hand, it could be a game changer for gas pullers.

    LOL here is a picture of a friend of mines truck. He did exactly that. He made the meme not me!

  • Huffers were tried on older 454/460 gas engines on tow trucks mostly one ton DRWs back in the '70s and 80s with not so good results as heat was a engine killer with towing duties.
    Kinda early yet but it would be interesting to see how this outfit copes with heat on a working 7.3 gasser.

    Now a huffer on 1/4 mile drag trucks faired better as heat build up wasn't near as big of a issue.
