My first year in photos.

Here is a collection of photo from throughout my first year with my TT. Bought new in April 2014. Have spent about 80 nights in it, almost every night for work - only 3 fun trips. I'm a motorsports photographer. Pics aren't in any order and all were taken with phone or point and shoot "superzoom", my carry around camera. Apparently I like taking photos of sunsets.

That's Orion above my trailer and the moon to the right of it. Crazy amount of stars in the desert.

This thread gets better and better. 20 years ago my B-Day present from my wife was a track day for both of us with Reg Pridmore and his CLASS program.

The only fresh tires my local shop could get me were gummy race types, so that just added to the fun. I had a VFR750 then and I could see the V-4 power pulses in the tires in the way the rubber was rolling up.

Of course I also took the chance to take a lap on the backseat of Reg's bike that day, super smooth of course.

Thanks everyone for your compliments on the photography, I don't think I need to reply/quote everyone. ๐Ÿ˜›

I approve of the direction this thread is taking. ๐Ÿ™‚ Reg is still at it, we shoot his CLASS events at Willow Springs Raceway/Streets of Willow. Actually met Christian Bale (Batman) at one of his days. He rolled up by himself, bike in the back of a pickup, just like everyone else. He's shorter than I thought tho, haha, but I'm 6'3", the only actor my height I've met so far is Will Smith.

Great race pictures. I wish I could get out to Chuckwalla sometime to photograph the MRA people when they are out there racing.

Light painting is something else I want to try. Have you seen Dave Blacks videos on light painting?

Something happened to your TV - it got huge in the last picture. Maybe due to all those towing workouts? ๐Ÿ˜›

Nice!

I raced superbikes for 10 years. Wish I had bought more pics back then but we spend all our money on racing. When not racing (and laid off from my semiconductor job) I was taking pics too and printing them at the track for money.

Took a few pics a few weeks ago of my friends at the track day at AMP in Phoenix. I took the TT with me too but no pics of it. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Nice shots. I bet you're one of the faster guys. ๐Ÿ™‚ Do you ever go out for any laps

anymore?

Traded the race bike for a boat about 5 years ago. My 10 year race buddy on the green bike is trying to get me back on, but I only have a BMW R1100RT for now so I can get to work using the HOV lane. I threatened to take that pig on the track (it actually handles well) and we all laughed.
Just got back from Laughlin river run today, 500 miles of riding.

This pic was us circa 2002 at Road America WI. I was 88 and he was 80. Had to add a 1 since we were out of region. Funny thing is I bought that truck in the background last year from his dad after buying the matching trailer 2 years ago from him.

Boss....love the pic of the TT with the night sky and the stars...that's awesome.

I also got a chuckle with the TT being hooked up to the big box truck and looking like a mini TT..

Might I ask where the pictures are where the camper is so close to (what I assume is) the ocean?

Thanks, that was an 8 second exposure, I should have light painted the RV with a flashlight, instead of porch lights, that would have looked better.

Yeah, I actually bent the tongue on my last lightweight TT towing with that big truck because it's so violent when it goes over bumps. I only had to tow it about 2 miles this time, luckily. The combo was measured 63 feet long! 2 feet short of legal limit. ๐Ÿ™‚

Did the fuel can and generator cause you to run hotter? Because of reduced air flow.

That was a concern, which is why I turned it sideways. I saw no noticeable difference in temps, although to be fair, my water temp gauge is the stock idiot gauge. I do however have a digital transmission temp gauge and big aftermarket transmission cooler, I usually hover around 180 just cruising or maybe 210 up hills in winter and 235-ish in summer. There was one 100+ degree day when it hit 250-ish over the Grapevine pass, but I don't recall if the generator was on the front or not. I never go over half throttle with that truck since it has 235k miles on original engine, so I'm "that guy" going 30 mph up the hill getting passed by semi's.

The weight police shouldn't have anything to say when you tow your trailer with a 5 ton truck :B

They recently re-opened one of their revenue enforcement stops on the freeway by my house. Really unsafe since the trucks are slowing down for the entrance and merging over at the end of an on-ramp. But I guess public safety < tickets.

Thanks for sharing, great pictures! The size was fine on an iPad by the way, also with the option to expand each to full screen. Not sure why they would have been too big? Maybe the iPad adjusts automatically...

Thanks! One of my favs is the shot out the driver's side while driving looking back with sunset and light streaks.

I edited the post with smaller photos and the expand link as recommended. They were 1200px wide, viewing on my desktop was fine, but maybe folks looking on phones or older computers have issues?
