My truck is a 2007 Chevy 2500HD with only 9200 GVWR and 6084 rear because of the OEM Range E's on 17" wheels. My camper is 4500 lbs. wet, so I definitely needed to upgrade to 19.5's to get up to 8000 lbs on the rear. I have Rancho 9000's, airbags and Torklift Stableloads, but no extra helper springs.
The new Chevy 3500HD SRW has 11,600 GVWR, but still only 7050 rear because of the Range E 18" wheels. The overleaf suspension would be a nice addition to my rig:
