Just pulling, with your truck, you probably won't notice a difference......until you get passed by a big tractor trailer and it pulls the camper along with it. Yes, I would get a WD hitch with sway control, even with that stout of a truck.
If we were just getting back into the RV'ing world, I would go with a nice 3-4 year old used unit. Depreciation is awful on a new one and I would let somebody else take the hit and also get all the bugs worked out of a new one.
