New Ranchos for Calvin!

I just purchased 4 Rancho 9000XL shocks for my truck. I got them through AutoAnything at $104.50 each, and Rancho is having a sales promotion where you get a prepaid $100 Visa card if you buy 4 shocks! I did, so the total with tax for the 4 shocks is only $353! I think I'll install them myself, but not sure yet.

Getting ready for a 2 week trip through the Southwest. New shocks, tires and camper roof and I'm off! :)

  • I would say not... The charge to put them on is minimal, and when I tried mine I should have put new bolts in, but of course the shop is 15 miles away.

They burned the bolts off the two fronts, and I was done in about 15 minutes.

But do remove the adjustment knob and pack the cavity with grease. Years later, they still turns perfectly easily.

Hey, thanks, send them on out -- oh, for your truck. Never mind.

I just put 4 new Bilstein's on my truck. Easy, but it's 2006.

    Who is Calvin?

Calvin is my truck. I named it in honor of my dad (RIP) Dad was rugged and a very hard worker who could do almost anything he set his mind too. He was my hero and taught me more by example than I could ever figure out on my own. I miss him every day. He also loved his trucks! :)
