New TT

I am currently in the market for a new TT. I would like a trailer with one slide, bunk beds for my teenage sons and weigh less than
8,000 pounds and a walk around queen bed. Finally, I would like to keep it in the 15,000 to 25,000 dollar range. What TT would you recommend and what TT would you stay away from? There is a RV show here in Tampa and I would like attend it with some idea of what kind of TT trailer I should be looking for.

If you are a serious looker, the RV show in Tampa is the place to go. Your admission cost gives you a 2 day pass and if you really want to look, you can use both days to see everything. I have been to it many times and if you can't find it there, it's not being made.

We have only had our KZ for part of one season, but man we love it. Model in signature. Lots of room and a "U" shaped dinette. This has an exterior door for the bathroom, another real nice feature. Good luck ... looking is half the fun.

Rockwood Minilite 2306 has bunks and a queen and will be under 8000 pounds. There's an equivalent Flagstaff model. Not much seating room, that takes a few more feet of length and the weight of a slideout.

Really you need to find what you want in a trailer by going to rv shows, checking craigslist etc and start looking at different makes and models. Don't go to dealerships expecting to buy the first few times, just take notes and photos and then have discussions about what you liked and didn't like. From this you can decide which features are a priority, and which you could give up. You can also eliminate certain makes, sometimes for little things. We eliminated a make simply because the kitchen and bathroom tap in each of their models was flimsy. If what I can see is flimsy then what I can't see is flimsy too. Then find as much as you can in a make of trailer that you feel is well built in your budget. We did that and found almost everything we wanted and in our budget. Had to travel four hours to go see it and then back again to go pick it up later, but it was worth it.
Ours is a Jayco 28BHS and has everything you've given as wants.

Good luck in your trailer hunting, and happy camping!

See my sig. Yellow sticker Dry at 4811lbs, length 30'. Sleeps 10. Has 2 full size bunks in the back, and a queen in front. Can walk down both sides of the queen, with closets on each side. Has a slide. Can be fully used with slide in.

APEX 280BHS. Well laid out.

Jayco also has a White Hawk, with the same floorplan. It is a little heavier though

Sorry, I just sold my Lance 2180, which would have met your specs except for the slide. But check out the 2185. Now with a slide! Great trailer, highly recommended.

I have a friend who really enjoys his Coleman TT. Here's a link to a Coleman TT that meets all your requirements.

You might want to look at the Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite Bunkhouse. It is made by Forest River.

BUT, in many of the bunkhouse models, the bunks are not really long. Usually 74", at the most. How tall are your teens? Do you expect them to be over 6' tall? If so, many of them may not be for you. I have seen some bunkhouse models have beds that are only 54" long.

I'd say a Lance 2185 is a very well made trailer.
