Keith at NL tells me that it is not necessary if you use the proper chemicals.
Any thoughts or experiences?

Just sold a 2002 Wildcat with no black wash. Just bought a 2011 Keystone with black wash. Won't bother using it.
I am in a permanent site and use a 42 gal tote.
