Offroad tires for diesel towing

I think the Terra Grappler G2 would be a better choice? I used to use the G2's for towing and snow plowing with great results.

Several other model of Grappler were available. Is the Exo extra wide perhaps, I know spacing between the inside of the tire and the truck is very tight, same as my 1500 was?

I would not trust that. If it fits a diesel it should fit a gas, especially a Ram since they seem to be able to run larger tires without rubbing. I have run that same tire size, I just went up to 285/70/18 on my 2018 Chevy 3500, took a little modification but not much with a -12 offset rim. I don't find that the EXO is any wider than any other tire. You can go to the Nitto website it has the exact tire dimensions on there.

I had Falken Rocky Mountains on my '97 Ram 2500 and initially they looked and worked well. The tread lugs/blocks wore quickly (maybe 20k miles) and while the tire still had a lot of tread left, they looked like highway tires at that point.

With 5 years and 50k plus miles, with quite a bit of tread left, on a diesel F250, another vote for the BFG TA. I also tow and hunt, and here it is snow and mud. This tire was good for both. I do not think any of the new diesels are good for real off road work. Too much expensive exhaust system hanging down, so all terrain are good enough, without the need for mud tires. For ice, studded tires on at least the rear would be nice.

I have been really happy with the Nitto EXO Grappler. On my 3rd set. I tow heavy and am frequently off-road. These tires last (I get 50K plus out of them) and I am towing about 30K combined weight. I am also getting good wear out of a set of Cooper SST. I think the Nitto does better on ice and snow than the Cooper.
