My son is getting the Limited with the black interior. The pics I have seen look great!
They look great they just don't fit my bottom correctly. I sat in them when we bought our current 4th Gen. The upgraded cloth felt better to me and still got the heated seat option.
Only reason I wanted leather is for the ventilated seats, not so much heated. I can say one thing I really miss the cloth seats in my previous truck 99 Superduty , and they looked nearly as good as when they were new after nearly 16 years. They were a medium gray, and very easy to clean. Nothing wrong with cloth other then they are not cooled, as far as I know - boocoodinkydowExplorermy wife feels the seats in our 2013 Sierra slt were more comfortable than our present longhorn but I mildly disagree (46 yrs of marriage will teach you to disagree with the wife MILDLY). Love the leather & the cool seats although initially I felt like I'd forgotten my chaps each time I got in it. The quality of the leather reminds me of imported glove leather of days gone by.

..Wow, I really opened a can of worms bragging on the higher end leather in the Ram Longhorn...I apologize for almost becoming a fanboy for Ram after being one for Chevy for oh, about 35 years....I don't know..I personally haven't set in a Grand Cherokee Limited, just heard about it....I know that the Ram's leather interior is the best I've seen in a while, that my seats don't look dirty, (and I worked in the coal mines for a while)...so I guess different strokes for different folks...The seats are far from hard, anyone that has set on them know this. Limited or Longhorn....The Leather is easier to clean then the cloth with kids (grandkids and dogs), a plus in mine and my wife's eye's, but who cares.
Buy what one want's, I've seen no issues with the perforated seats, they hear really great and push cooler air into one's seat and lower back very well and it works great in the summer time..
forgive me for boasting on my truck...I'm going to try to stop it...heck, now I got FishOnOne agreeing with the Ram guys against other Ram guys...go figure....I'm out........transamz9, you and Fish can have it....
OH , I see. You start something and then run.......LOL! Just kidding
I love the leather in the Longhorns. I was just stating that I won't have one because they don't offer it dyed Black. I just prefer dark interiors.
I was just also stating that I have had a GC Limited and ours did not have the same soft leather of the Longhorn.
I'm sorry, I really did not mean to upset you.:( - mpierceExplorer

X2. Cowboy themed trucks don't appeal to me personally.... Nothing wrong with them... Just not appealing..,
LTZ Chevy.... Now we are talking ;)
We thought that way too. But, it is very understated. It is not very "Cowboy" themed. Not bad at all. We gladly accept any "Cowboy" theming, for the top quality of the leather. It is head and shoulders above the Laramie. - larry_barnhartExplorerNC Hauler.
Jim I see things like this. Tell your thoughts on what ever subject we are talking about. You will never be wrong just might not make others happy.

I owned 4 LTZ Chevy's...last one I looked at was a 14'....chevy is a great looking truck, but unless you've actually looked at the interior of the Ram Longhorn and set in it and drove it, then it may be a little more appealing than what are making it out to be...I felt the same way about the Dodge/Ram trucks at first, but changed my mind after setting in one for the first time.
and again, the dark brown interior, don't see how one looks at it and it "appears dirty all the time"....:h
Don't buy a Grand Cherokee Limited either...pretty much "cowboy theme" to it also....high grade leather like in the Longhorn.
IDK, it's kind of hard to explain. I work in construction and Brown is dirt to me no matter how clean it is. We are also having a very hard time finding a new fifthwheel we like that's not "Old Man Brown" without having to order it with full paint.:B
Believe me, it's just a personal preference, there's nothing wrong with the Saddle color.
BTW we have had 4 Grand Cherokee Limited, the last one being the newest body style having the light tan leather heated and cooled and we hated it. Like sitting on a board compared to the previous models and definitely not as comfy as my 3 gen Ram with cloth but neither is my 4 Gen Ram with cloth.
I agree the new GC seats are very very hard whereas the older ones had very soft comfy seats.
I will say the leather in the Longhorn is much better quality than the standard Dodge issue leather. We rented a Dodge Town and Country mini van and the leather was about the same quality as some vinyl seats.
I guy at work just purchased a Chevy High Country this past weekend and that truck has very good quality leather seats.- transamz9Explorer
