Haha, if you had a Ford, I'm surprised you made it sane. The click in my F150 is unbelievably loud -- I'm not sure I've had any passengers who did not comment on how loud the turn signal noise is!

I think the fake sound is a crazy idea. If the automakers wanted to go down that path, they would include fake sound on the outside as well so others could hear the V8 rumble.

My Chevy, like many other newer vehicles today, has the electronically generated turn signal clicking sound that plays through one of the radio speakers (no more clicking from the flasher unit). The speaker has a loose wire or short, so sometimes you hear the turn signals and sometimes you do not. Maybe that's what will happen a few years down the road with these fake V8 rumble sounds as well.

Do drive sisters 2014 E420, other sisters 2015 Accord Hybrid and buddies brand
new Fake Sub (Yukon XL with every order-able ordered)...but am not in the habit
of pulling radios out of vehicles... :B

Also do NOT like 'highly integrated' anything...except for my Leatherman
and Swiss Army knife. At that, both have very sharp knives, but neither
are as good as a dedicated knife. Ditto anything else on them

Similar to not liking the 'highly integrated trailer brake controller'

Current MagnaFlow dual in/dual out muffler for the Sub's 7.4L is goint
out. LOUD and would have loved it when in my teens, but now it is just
LOUD...going to get a new one soon.

Guess my Sub is worth more if I sell it now...knowing that exhaust
noise is the current LAGS... :R

Pull the OEM radio? You've not spent much time in a late model vehicle have you? If I pulled the radio out of our Edge, we'd lose climate, radio, navigation, and phone bluetooth, not to mention controls for the mood lighting, headlamp delay, etc.

I seriously doubt JVC or Pioneer has a model on the market than can talk to all those systems.

I'd like to see one that would integrate with the climate control, mood lightning, and heated/cooled seats in our Edge.

Serious as a heart attack.

There are people out there who think that when you are driving a vehicle, you should be able to hear "vroom vroom" sounds. Not being able to hear the "vroom vroom" sounds makes them uncomfortable, some to the point of being unable to drive. They need the audio cue to tell them how much to push the gas pedal.
