Primetime Lacrosse versus Rockwood Signature Ultralight

We are down to decision time on our new travel trailer purchase. It will be either the Primetime (Forest River) Lacrosse 318BH or the Rockwood Signature Ultralight 8311SS. Does anyone have a recommendation on one over the other? They both seem to be high quality trailers. Your input is greatly appreciated.

For what it's worth, our '08 Rockwood Roo had a nasty water leak that couldn't be fixed by our dealer and in fact got worse after they installed a factory repair kit. Rockwood ended up taking the camper back to the factory for free and fixed it above and beyond what was necessary. And we were right on the edge of being out of our 2 year warranty. It was a headache and an obvious design issue but Rockwood did remedy things which impressed me.

Some of have had some bad experiences with Lacrosse but others have loved their Lacrosse units. I'd go with the best floor plan in the hands of the best dealer.

We looked at both, and liked both. Weight ended up being the deciding factor for us, and we went with the Rockwood (8312ss). We have been very happy with ours. With the exception of a couple of very small issues (that I was able to repair myself), we have had little trouble with the trailer (none of which has been a result of build quality).

Lacrosse Touring by far. Larger fresh/gray tanks, slam latch doors with magnets, larger fridge, universal Dock, and more. It weighs a lot more though.

Rockwood actually has 6 models with more gray water capacity. Lacrosse uses a smaller waste tank also (30 gals). Even the ones with more gray water actually have only 30 gal capacity for the shower which is quite small. I have never owned either but my impressions of the ones I saw were they were fairly equal but the Rockwood/Flagstaff would serve me better were I to upgrade. There are certainly some nice features on the Lacrosse as well.

Unless they have done something significant with the Rockwood over the last few years, there are distinct build quality differences. I have also had great customer experiences with PrimeTime making modifications with factory employees helping me over emails.
