- southernskyExplorerWe have a 2012 320RLT which they don't make anymore. Like most other campers there were bugs to get out. After ironing all the problems out it's been a pretty good camper. We do about 15000 mls. a year traveling around the country and believe me the roads aren't too smooth, and it's held together pretty good. Would I buy another? I'd look around but would likely get another.
- chevyman2ExplorerWell Forest River is no different than any manufacturer. They make low range units, and high range units. I believe CRUSADER is a low to mid range 5er.
I think I would buy one if that is what I wanted. Just about any RV will be OK if you take care of it. Just dont expect too much from any RV. As they all get beat up and stressed out from being drug up and down the road. - HoustonkidExplorerWe purchased the 315RST last summer and absolutely love it. It is our 2nd Prime Time product and I would not hesitate to buy another. Our first was the Lacrosse and it never needed to go back to the dealer for repairs after purchase. The Crusader has been in once because the auto-level system quit working (jacks) and it is going back in for heater issues, partly caused by me.

That is the model that we are looking at, really nice layout only thing is the DW likes a dinette and I don't care either way - HoustonkidExplorerIt really is a great floor plan. We have no kids so it really works for us. We have the theater seating and I must say, the recliners are comfortable.

Anyone have one and what do you think? When the Class A sells we are considering one.
I have a Crusader 296BHS since last Spring (2014). From a quality stand-point, Prime Time isn't any better or worse than other mid-range manufacturers.
I would say the are known for:
- taking care of customers during the warranty period
- including a decent level of accessories/options by default in the base price. e.g. good value
- their interior decor doesn't look like a bad cruise ship
- floor plans are decent
Like all other manufacturers, you will want to add options and upgrade things when you get it. I would also recommend taking a good look at the options to make sure you get things up front that are helpful (e.g. dual pane windows, 16" wheels, 2nd AC, etc).
I would recommend browsing the PT forum. Just keep in mind that you likely see more grumblers on the forum because the happy people don't have as many reasons to post.

I've done my share of grumbling too. :)
My frustrations seem to be things that are true across many brands or are dealer related. This industry has a weird expectation that customers should just "deal with it" when it comes to quality issues because all of the manufacturers have similar issues. - RRinNFlaExplorerBought a 295RST in August. Love the layout, the convenience of the controls, etc.
Took it for a shakedown and everything seemed to be OK. Tried the furnace last month for the first time. The propane would not light. The DSI spark board was defective. In the shop now waiting for parts. Lesson learned: try everything on the shakedown, try the A/C if it's winter, try the furnace if it's summer.
As to the dinette, our old rig had a built-in. The new rig has a free-standing. I like the free-standing much better. - lpxguyExplorerOur 335bhs is awesome for our family of 4. I feel you get a lot of bang for the buck with Primetime. Fit & finish is very good. Yea there are few small problems but there is no perfect rv.
My biggest beef & it's a major one...fading of the front cap. Mine showed signs only a few mos. out of warr.& looks horrible! FR not willing to fix it, they would only contribute about 1/3 of repair cost. They have a big problem with their gelcoat. My understanding is this is not exclusive to FR as other makers having the same problem.
Would I buy another PT? yes it's a great rig with a ton of cool std. features. Oh and light weight too!
