Anyone have any experiences or comments on the Prime Time Crusader?
Thanks
My neighbor at the seasonal site in WV just bought a Crusader and he has had a couple of issues that he told me about. One of the slides had to be adjusted and one of the front leveling legs lost a motor and had to be replaced. Other than that he likes the unit so far. - philtrainsExplorerI bought the Crusader 260rld in April 2012; plus a Ford 250 diesel. I love both. New trailer allowed us to stay at Gulf SP Alabama for two months in comfort. Zero problems. Everything works great. As usual a couple of adjustments such as bypass valve wrong. Very nice components and workmanship. Good luck with you decision.
- mudratExplorerWe've had our 320 for a little over a year just 2 or 3 minor problems.
- NtrlzExplorerWe have a new Crusader 325RES. Added to the family in April of 2012. We had a few problems that have been resolved by the dealership and factory. The most significant problem was related to the floor joist showing through the seams in the floor. This was fixed during the winter. We enjoy the unit. We installed the vented W/D and an outdoor entertainment system.
We used it for just over a month (overnight time) and pulled roughly 3000k miles. We love it. - Charlie_D_ExplorerBought a Crusader 330MKS in July. Have 3,000 miles so far with no issues. Leaving tomorrow for a week. Lot of bang for the buck and a tremendous floor plan
- austinjennaExplorerI have had a lot of problems with mine form the beginning, slides not coming out or going in, every sink leaked, broken front landing legs, wrong bulbs in the sockets and literally the entire black tank dropping out. TV antenna not hooked up (couldn't the cable was too short) These are the ones I can think off the top of my head. Craftsmanship?? seriously they are all built the same going down the assembly line, there is no craftsmanship and these are built the same junky way
- Charlie_D_ExplorerThere is a Forest River-Prime Time forum. Not a lot of activity and I assume it is because Prime Time is relatively new. The posters there have had few issues. The Mod. is "RV Guy". I believe he has ties to Forest River and he actively monitors the site and has helped the few posters who have had issues.
- NJRVerExplorerWe looked at the 325 RES and determined there weren't nearly enough electrical outlets. This is a personal choice maybe not applying to your situation.
- jsharwellExplorerBought the 2012 290RLT Crusader in June of 2012. Very few problems. The worst problem slideout switch sticking and rear leveling jack switch broke. Dealer change out. A little over 5000k between June and October. Texas, Louisiana, Miss. Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Tenn. Heading out west this summer.
- Charlie_D_ExplorerBack side of that switch is exposed. Mine quit twice but reaching up behind the skirt and wiggling it would cause it to work again. I am going to water proof mine.
