I use a a small block of wood under the U-bolts. A 12 ton bottle jack goes under that. Be careful when using the frame as your jack point. Some manufacturers want you to use specific points while some forbids it. Also if you have a spread axle design, Trailer Aid and similar ramps may not work. The axles are set so far apart that flat tire may enough lift high enough to change it once the good tire is driven onto the ramp.
